The origin of this side dish came from my stay in europe of 09. My cousin peter(his name is actually much more Scandinavian in spelling) created a much more extravagant version of this one morning when i was making fresh slab bacon. He took some day old rustic bread, sliced it and dipped it in a little bacon grease. Let it sit on the griddle till it got crispy then he added some cheese and salami and i forget if there was tomato as well. Anyway i know i had a tomato on mine I might of put it there myself. They were amazing you could only have like one or two of these little sandwiches but that was all that was necessary.

Anyway here comes todays little snack, the calorie count. If you have some day old bread and want a side snack for breakfast while making bacon.

A pizza dough for a special lady.

My friend lauren found out she has many food allergies. One of them is wheat and another is corn and then rice. This makes it very annoying to consume modern day pizza because of the mixtures of flours. I’m trying to come up with a pizza dough that works. Right now there is a mixture rising and we will follow it.

Dough trial 1:

Ingredients for dough:

1 cup rye flour

1 cup potato flour( dehydrated potatoes)

1 package active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4-1 cups water ( anywhere from 1 cup to 1.5 cups originally made, but this turned out to be to much)

Saturday in the Park, I think I ate some Buffalo on Rye…

Okay that is a lie. It was a honey wheat bun and there was no park, just an ocean view and a kitchen with a Foreman grill. Those things are great but we will get back to that later because i must shout my love for Buffalo especially ones that have been squeezed into intestinal casing. I’m talking about Buffalo hot dogs and not some magic trick gone horribly wrong or horribly right.

Tuesdays with Guac-y

Today I’m sharing some recipes. I woke up and the avacado was going bad so after breakfast I made guac. Breakfast was a scrambled egg with yellow rice and chicken tenders. Mmmm. The eggs had cheese and milk in them so they are fluffy and creamy, and i had cacik (Turkish cucumber yogurt dressing)
